Matthew Renaud is a Vermont-based taxidermist whose work is rooted in a lifelong connection to the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and spending time in the woods aren't just hobbies — they're the reason this craft exists.

Every mount that leaves the shop carries the same attention to detail that went into the original hunt. From skinning to final presentation, the process is handled personally — no shortcuts, no assembly-line work.

Based in Colchester, Matthew serves hunters and collectors throughout Vermont and the surrounding region, offering everything from single trophy mounts to complete cabin displays.

How It Works

From your
hunt to your wall

A straightforward process — you bring the trophy, we handle the rest.

Consultation

Reach out with details about your trophy — species, size, and the look you want. We'll discuss options and give you an honest assessment.

Drop Off

Bring your trophy to the shop on Meadow Drive. We accept raw hides, field-prepped heads, and complete specimens — whatever you have.

Crafting

This is where the patience shows. Tanning, sculpting, posing, and finishing — each mount is built by hand over several weeks.

04

Pick Up

Your finished mount is ready. Come by the shop to see it in person — we want you to be completely satisfied before it leaves with you.
